About
Bio: Mark joined SJP in 2017 and as Chief Risk Officer is responsible for the risk, compliance and financial crime functions within the Group. Prior to this, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers where, he was an advisor to a range of financial services firms on compliance, risk and regulation. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2003.
Mark believes passionately in equality for all and in building a diverse team to attract and retain talented people. As an LGBT+ ally, he is keen for all team members and colleagues to reach their full potential. He believes that key to this is for people to feel confident that they can bring their "true self" to the workplace regardless of how they identify themselves. He has demonstrated allyship by encouraging his team to open diversity conversations about gender identities, supporting colleagues when needed.
He comments: "I am ally to my LGBT+ colleagues because I want everyone to be and feel themselves at work. We should not underestimate the power of leadership in setting the tone of allyship."
