Bio: Jonathan Polin is Chief Executive Officer at Sanlam Investment Holdings UK Ltd (Sanlam). From April 2022, Jonathan will lead the separation of Sanlam’s wealth business into new private equity ownership with Oaktree Capital Management, aiming to build the UK’s first truly hybrid wealth manager.
Jonathan became CEO of the Sanlam UK Group in January 2016 with a mission create a business recognized for the quality of its advice, asset and discretionary fund management services. He started his career in the British Army before taking on leadership roles with some of the country's leading names in financial services including Prudential, Aberdeen Asset Management, Britannic and most recently Ashcourt Rowan, where he oversaw its rejuvenation and eventual sale in 2015.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has put diversity, opportunity and equality at the forefront of his approach and is one of the few openly gay CEOs in the industry, after coming out 20 years ago.
