Tim comments: "Recent tragic events are a stark and painful reminder of how we still have a long way to go with respect to our collective treatment of, and support for, historically marginalized groups of people. We must do better. It is important to listen to and find the best ways to advocate for these groups of people to influence positive action, not just words. This is why programmes, such as LGBT Great's initiative, are so important in helping to drive the difficult conversations and positive actions that are needed to support LGBT+ individuals, in our workplace and communities.
Through programs such as LGBT Great's initiative we are providing visible and vocal support to the LGBT+ community, and other historically disadvantaged communities. As allies we are committed not just to treating all individuals with respect, dignity and empathy but to turn that support into action to combat prejudice and injustice and bring about change. I am proud to be a part of LGBT Great's initiative and hope that all individuals know you're not alone - we welcome you; we support you; we've got your back.'"
