Bio: Darren joined the CBI in 2022 and is currently the Principal Marketing Communications Adviser. Day-to-day, Darren advises on best practices for marketing communications, focusing on digital marketing technology. He is also part of the internal Diversity Ambassadors Group and is a co-lead for the LGBTQ Network.
He supports those from socially deprived and multi-cultural backgrounds. He is from a working-class and mixed-race background. Darren has worked for a number of firms in the professional and financial services space and EDI membership companies.
He is an openly gay man and is passionate about diversity across all areas. He has seen how attitudes have changed regarding people’s diversity over the years but is excited to support LGBT Great in more positive change for LGBT+ individuals in particular, with a focus on intersectionality and allyship.
