Bio: Emma is Group HR Director at Legal & General and plays a key role in delivering the firm's vision of inclusive capitalism, to improve the lives of customers, build a better society for the long-term, and create value for our shareholders. Her role includes driving Legal & General's strategy to create a more diverse organisation for the benefit of its employees, and the businesses and the communities it works with.
Prior to joining Legal & General, Emma was a Global HR Director and Board Director at PA Consulting, co-leading the successful sale of 51% to The Carlyle Group in 2015. She spent a number of years as Group Head of Talent and Resourcing at BP, has held roles Prudential and the Bank of England and was the co-founder of a dot come start-up, Skillvest.com. Emma has significant international experience having worked in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa.
Emma believes that role models and allies are vital to improving diversity. By demonstrating that difference in the workplace is welcome, businesses can create environments where people feel they can be themselves at work.
