About
Bio: In her role as Chief People Officer, Sally is responsible for global Human Resources and Communications. She focuses holistically on Fidelity employees’ experience, built upon a diverse, inclusive and meritocratic organisation underpinned by a culture of continuous self-improvement and effective talent management.
As part of her FIL Limited group-wide responsibilities, Sally also has an oversight role within Eight Roads, a global proprietary investment firm backed by Fidelity. She is an attendee of the Remuneration Committee for FIL Limited and Eight Roads and is a member of COLT Remuneration Committee which is an Eight Roads portfolio company.
Sally joined Fidelity in 1999 from PwC. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She is also a qualified secondary school teacher and a Trustee on the Board of Future First, an education charity focused on improving social mobility and building alumni communities in state schools across the UK, whose vision is a world where a young person’s start in life does not limit their future and a Trustee on the Board of Big Education, a movement focused on delivering a bigger, bolder vision of what education can be about.
Sally comments: "Bold. Brave. Curious and Compassionate. These are the values at the heart of Fidelity which underpin our culture of acceptance and equality for all. A diverse mix of clients spread across all our geographies helps make our business strong and resilient; and at Fidelity we know that a diverse mix of employees, united by a culture of acceptance and inclusion, makes our business even stronger and even more resilient. Our value of curiosity makes colleagues at Fidelity interested to learn and grow from the life experiences, context and perspectives of the people around them. Being an Ally is a natural extension of our culture, which promotes compassion and mutual success, recognising that our success is greater when we win as a team.
Celebrating our LGBT+ colleagues, via our support for LGBT Great, is one of the many reasons why people choose to work at Fidelity. I am proud of Fidelity’s work with LGBT Great and the work we are doing to increase the support to LGBT+ colleagues and others."
