About
Bio: Tom is the HR Director for Brooks Macdonald Group. He has worked in HR his entire career, and spent nearly eight years at HSBC before starting with Brooks Macdonald in September 2017. As HR Director, he leads the development and implementation of the Group's people strategy, as well as overseeing remuneration, learning and development, employee relations and HR administration. Tom grew up and attended university in Manchester before moving to London in 2014 with his husband Nigel, who is a primary school teacher.
Whilst at HSBC, Tom was one of the Pride Network leaders and having taken responsibility for its regional groups across the UK (overseeing the development of new groups in Leeds, the East Midlands and Birmingham), he spent time as the events lead. In this role he organised events in partnership with LGBT charities Just Like Us and GALOP. He is passionate about equality and creating an inclusive workplace, and is leading a number of diversity initiatives across Brooks Macdonald.
