Bio: George has been with Legal & General since 2010 and by day is Conduct Risk and Compliance Consultant. In addition to her BAU role, George is also a Co-Chair of Legal & General's L&GBT+Allies Network, supporting the LGBT+ Community within L&G, and Legal & General's Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
She works closely with members of the LGBT+ community internally, her peers, senior management, and Group D&I partners to promote Legal & General's inclusive and diverse culture. This involves representing the views of the Network members, and ensuring that they feel heard and seen.
George is passionate about cultivating a safe environment in the workplace, where people can be free to be themselves. Personally, she strives to be the most authentic version of herself by being a strong, visible gay woman, and a vocal LGBT+ champion in the workplace.

Georgina has championed the rights of her Trans colleagues, encouraging updates to internal policies and challenging transphobia and homophobia where it's been evident. She has mentored the senior leadership team in what it means to be an active, effective ally in the workplace.

I am a visible and vocal lesbian in the workplace, co-chairing our LGBT Committee, and champion our other people networks (including ability, neurodiversity and our culture club). I've been with my company for 14 years, working both upwards and sideways, and currently work in our risk and compliance team. I'm happy to support those new to the financial services, and how to navigate career progression with the nuanced needs of LGBT+ employees, as this is something I've been able to navigate. I'm a pragmatic and balanced individual, with a heavy focus on really good customer and people outcomes. I've been recognised as an LGBT Great Gamechanger for 2024, and I've also been recognised internally for my dedication to our D&I agenda and strategy.
