Bio: Daphne Larocque is a Compliance Associate, E-comms Surveillance at Invesco Ltd based in Canada. Daphne is from the picturesque Prince Edward Island, Canada and embarked on her professional journey with Invesco in 2019. Growing up in a conservative, small-town environment, Daphne witnessed and experienced discrimination first-hand, which fuelled her strong sense of justice and desire for change.
In 2020, she joined Invesco's Proud Network, and through her unwavering dedication, became the chairperson in 2021. Their commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusivity has been a lifelong endeavour, beginning with leading their high school's Gay-Straight Alliance and continuing through her coordination of LGBTQIA+ student events at university.
Although Daphne's academic background is in studio painting, she has successfully leveraged her creative skills to plan and conceptualize events for the Pride organization at Invesco. Daphne's goal has always been to foster a workplace where everyone feels safe, supported, and valued.
