Bio: James is an ESG Manager at M&G Investments, sitting in the Sustainable Investment Research arm of the Stewardship & Sustainability team. James joined the team in May 2021, having spent a year as an ESG Analyst for M&G plc from April 2020.
The main focus areas of James’s role include producing company and thematic research on the Utilities sector, as well as leading M&G’s work on assessing the credibility of ESG Themed Bonds.
Before M&G, James had started his career as a Junior Research Analyst with CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), producing award-winning investor research on company preparedness for a low carbon transition, across numerous high-emitting sectors.
James holds a degree in BA Geography with an Advanced Proficiency in French from the University of Exeter.
