Stella Campaner
DEI Strategic Advisor for Citi Pride at Citi
About
Bio: Stella Campaner (She/Her/Ela/Ella) is the Global DEI Strategic Advisor for Citi Pride, supporting LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies at Citi. In this role, she sets the LGBTQIA+ strategy for the firm, and works with the Citi Pride Network, comprised of 41 chapters and more than 11K members globally.
Stella has been a Diversity Equity and Inclusion leader for more than 20 years. Prior to her role at Citi, she worked for 15 years at Bloomberg in Sao Paulo and New York, in roles within Human Resources, Global Philanthropy (LatAm and NAM), and leading Recruiting and DEI Recruiting in LatAm. Highlights of her work included leading the formal launch of the Pride and Women’s communities at Bloomberg in Sao Paulo, fostering an inclusive culture among employees, and leveraging partnerships with clients in the region. She also created and expanded diverse pipelines of Black Brazilians, People with Disabilities and LGBTQIA+ inclusion in LatAm. Prior to Bloomberg, she worked at Disney and in the Hospitality industry.
Stella has volunteered for years with PFLAG on their Trans Families Project and Gender Conference. Shehas also served as a mentor to elementary school children through Read Ahead Literacy, supported LGBTQIA+ refugees, assisted Military and Veterans via American Corporate Partners (ACP), and been a career advisor for LGBTQIA+ professionals.
Stella was born in Jundiai, Brazil. She completed a BA in Tourism/Hospitality at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi, and holds certifications in Sustainability and Social Sector from Fundacao Getulio Vargas and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from E-Cornell. Stella is currently pursuing a Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Fordham University in NY. She speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish, loves to play tennis, hear people’s stories and perspectives, and explore new cultures. She is very proud of herpartner, family, and LGBTQIA+ community.
