About

Bio: Mark Flynn is a Second Vice President, Manager of Early Career Programs at Northern Trust. He manages the global Rotational Development Program as well as other initiatives intended to build a diverse talent pipeline of future leaders.

Mark has worked across many areas of Northern Trust. Such include Risk & Control, Regulatory and Talent management functions. He has developed, led, and executed strategies through these various business units. He also is involved in and Leads multiple Business Resource Councils and mentoring circles across the bank.

Mark comes from quiet a diverse background having worked across many different industries ranging from Retail management to insurance and the financial services industry. Mark's current role allows him to coach and serve as a sounding board and trust advisor to early career partners. While offering his insight, perspective into the behavioural and developmental shifts required to maximize potential. Mark started his career with Northern Trust on a graduate program working across multiple operational teams, developing his skills and knowledge not only of the company but the industry as a whole.

Mark earned a Bachelor's degree from the Limerick Institute of Technology in Business and Marketing Management in 2012.
He earned his Certification in banking through Institute of bankers with UCD in 2016.
He is also Six Sigma Certified earning his green belt certification in 2019.

Mark serves as an active member on the Northern Trust Charity committee. He also gets involved and coordinates many charitable events across Northern Trust such as the annual shoebox appeal and the sleep out campaign to increase awareness of homelessness on behalf of Focus Ireland.

In his free time Mark enjoys travelling, outdoor exercise, and working out.
