Bio: An expert in the insurance industry, Australian Sally O’Hara has lived in Thailand for over 20 years and has been the CEO of Krungthai-AXA Life (KTAXA) since 2018. Prior to KTAXA, she held the position of country president and director of Chubb Life Assurance, previously known as ACE Life, since 2013. Sally also spent 14 years with Ayudhya Allianz C.P. Life (AACP), Thailand, where she held multiple senior executive roles across various functions, including Chief Agency Officer, Chief Officer - Operations and Chief Marketing Officer.
Her stellar track record includes, among others, increasing sales and growing bottom-line in a highly competitive market, managing organizational change to deliver further value, and driving business turnaround largely through successful acquisition of new partners and expansion of distribution channels. A member of both AmCham and AusCham and the holder of a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA degree from the University of Melbourne, she speakers Thai fluently. Married and a mother of two, she lists tennis, running and taking her kids to sports among her passions.
In 2019, Sally won the ‘Women Worth Watching’ awards as presented by Diversity Journal. More recently, she won the ‘Most Influential CEO in Southeast Asia’ as presented by the Global CEO Excellence 2021 Awards. O’Hara also won CEO of the Year from the Insurance Asia Awards 2021.
