Creative Director at EY
About
Bio: Chad Edwards is a pioneering LGBT+ activist and award-winning Creative Director whose work has transformed both the corporate world and the civil rights landscape. Over the course of his career, Chad has been a key player in advancing LGBT+ equality across North America and the UK, driven by a deep commitment to inclusion and justice.
Chad's journey began as a young serviceman in the U.S. Air Force, where his personal experiences of intolerance motivated him to challenge the status quo. He played a pivotal role in the repeal of the "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" (DADT) policy, catalysing cultural change within the U.S. military and amplifying the visibility of LGBT+ issues in the armed services. This commitment to equality continued in his corporate career, where he became a founding member of EY North America’s LGBT+ Network, Unity (formerly bEYond), and later served as Co-Chair Emeritus for EY UK & Ireland’s LGBT+ network.
In his 13 years in London, Chad has led numerous initiatives aimed at fostering inclusion, including serving as Co-Chair of InterBank, a financial services LGBT+ forum, and advising the P3 Network for LGBT+ single parents. His consulting work on the Australian Marriage Equality campaign and other global initiatives reflects his dedication to making meaningful change wherever possible.
Chad continues to mentor individuals and organizations, helping them create more inclusive environments. He is proud to serve as a Champion Leader for the EY Unity UK&I network, always looking for new opportunities to advance equality and support the LGBT+ community.
