About
Bio: Christopher currently works as a financial advisor for Abacus Wealth Partners. This fee-only, independent firm is a change-maker in the financial planning world, focusing on impact and socially responsible investing, diversity and inclusion, and making financial planning accessible. Before joining Abacus, Christopher worked as a petroleum engineer in the oil and gas industry. Upon completing his MBA from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Christopher decided to pivot into wealth management, where his career has gone from strength to strength.
Chris is passionate about the intersection between start-ups, entrepreneurship, and wealth management and works as the keystone advisor supporting executive leaders across emerging and Fortune 500 companies to navigate financial planning complexities. Chris is also a proud member of the LGBT+ community and has worked closely with many LGBT+ entrepreneurs. Since joining Abacus, Christopher has played a central role in establishing a pro bono financial planning partnership between Abacus and Daylight; an LGBTQ+ owned onlinebanking start-up focused on closing the wealth gap within the queer community. He also regularly writes for the Abacus LGBTQ+ & Money blog, where his articles address financial planning considerations facing the community, such as Estate Planning Tips for LGBTQ+ Couples.
Christopher has also been recognized as a future leader in the financial planning industry by being named to the 2021 InvestmentNews Class of 40 Under 40. He currently serves on the Financial Planning Association’s NexGen Executive Committee, making him the first openly gay advisor to be elected to the board
